Silly tennis elbow...

...is driving me crazy! I've been having problems with my left elbow for a couple of years and after countly different ways of treating it myself I finally broke down and saw a doctor. He confirmed my diagnosis and gave me a sheet of exercises to do. I've been religeously doing them for the past several days with a 1 pound weight and my arm is so sore! It's that pathetic??? However, I do believe I've revealed the root of the evil....weak tendons. Off to bust a sweat!

November 2007 Road Trip Page

I used the new Happy Go Lucky kit from Shabby Princess. I love their stuff but I'm not so sure that scrapbooking before work is a good habit to start! ;)

2 More Pages

(I think the kit was Well Loved but I cannot remember and think I pulled elements from elsewhere. I'm sorry it I didn't give proper credit.)

A couple of new pages

It's been forever since I've posted any pages because I've been using Heritage Makers to create some of my albums but I cannot post the pages. I think that I'll be switching back to the "old" way - PSE 5.0 and Shutterfly - because I seem to get more done. These pages are from February 2008.

Anyhow....enjoy!

(I used the Olivia Collection from
Shabby Princess for both pages)

Rain Rain Go Away...

I know that it's spring and that it's supposed to be rainy but I just want a couple of nice days so that we can start working on the yard!

It's Spring Break...how did this happen so quickly? Is it just me or doesn't it seem like Spring Break snuck up on us this year? I didn't even realize it was coming so quickly so I didn't request any time off from work until it was way too late. There's no coverage for any of the shifts so I'm just trying to leave a bit early from work a few days so that I can spend a little more time with the girls.

Lindsay woke up with a fever on Saturday and since it's not really let up after 4 days I figured I'd better take her to the doc to get her checked out. Wouldn't you know it? Apparently scheduling a doctors appointment is the best possible cure for a fever. She still has a cough but she seems to be feeling better.

Sage is taking a tennis camp and seem to be enjoying it. I hope that I can find her another tennis group to sign her up for so that she can continue learning. So far it's pretty much the only sport she has shown much interest in. I told her that if she enjoys it she can pursue it into high school and maybe get a scholarship. She seemed excited about that! Tennis is always something I'd wanted to learn but the opportunity never came up. A few years ago I asked JJ if he wanted to learn and he promptly told me no. Maybe Sagie can be my tennis coach! ;)

For the last couple of weeks we have been working very hard on creating a workable budget so that we can save up enough money to hopefully be able to pay for the girls braces without having to finance any of the cost. As I've been looking over the areas where we spend money I have realized many important things. The first being that we have WAY too much stuff. There are things shoved in every nook and cranny of this house and we have no idea of half of what we actually have.

Sis. Rich gave a great presentation about being organized and it's time for this family to kick it in gear. Perhaps if we have fewer items in our possession it will take us much less time to clean up after ourselves. So today begins a new era for our family. We are moving out the clutter. Maybe I've lost my mind but since I've been blessed with the added challenge of a full-time job somethings got to give and I've decided it's the clutter.

Do you think that the DI would drop off one of those trailers in my driveway for a few days? Oh goodness! I have lost my mind!

I'll keep you posted on our progress!

Just when we get our budget figured out....

...I really have an itch to go to Ikea. Yikes! That's seriously scary because I can do some serious damage to our checking account in the store. I'd really like to redo out bedroom and make it more peaceful.

JJ and I spent quite a bit of time this weekend going over our budget and getting our finances in order so that we can save up the money to pay for the girls braces. I found a great online tool at Neobudget that was super helpful. I love that it's envelope based because I've long been a fan of this method but it's difficult at best to have the little envelopes for each category. I love my new 'virtual' envelopes. I think we are definately on track to have credit cards paid off and the braces paid for in the next 2 years. Woohoo! That is if I can just stay away from Ikea.
