JJ's Big Gift
For the last several years, JJ has begged and pleaded with me for a pontoon boat. He has a float tube for fishing but being a girl I don't understand what the difference is. Well this year he got his way. I found one the day after Thanksgiving for a VERY good price and so I bought it. I got it at Cabella's and I had it shipped to the store so that he wouldn't see it before it was time. After it came in and I picked it up, Sage and I spent about 1/2 an hour wrapping the silly thing. Our plan was to tell him that I bought the girls a small fuseball table and that I wrapped it and stacked it in the corner. I think that he would have totally fallen for that too! When Sage and I were moving it some of the frame started to break through the box so we went to Plan C and took it to the neighbors house. There it sits here on Christmas morning. I told the neighbor that we'd be over to get it about 10am. Before we wrapped it we pulled the sticker off the box and put it on a piece of paper. We wrapped up that piece of paper so he'd have something to open. I didn't think that it would bring him to tears but it did. He's such a wonderful man and he deserves this. Merry Christmas honey...I love you!

Lindsay's Jingle Bells
Lindsay has been working so hard to learn to play Jingle Bells this Christmas. It's really cute and I admire her dedication. I think it's hilarious that she recorded this with the camera in her lap and I'm pretty sure that her dad ate a bit too much paste in Kindergarten.
My 35th Birthday
I had a great birthday! I woke up to JJ in the kitchen baking a cake and fixing me breakfast so I knew it was going to be a good day. I had previously arranged to have the day off because Lindsay went for her big 2 hour eye exam that day so JJ and Sage played hookie too and we spent the day together. It was wonderful!
Lindsay and I went to do a little Christmas shopping and we had lunch at Iceburg. Then we met back at the house because JJ and I had plans to go to dinner with ShaRene and Brian (and Jodie and Glenn) because Brian's birthday is also on the 11th. We went to Tucanos and it was so yummy! Sadly the day went all to quickly but I couldn't think of any better way to spend the day.
Christmas Parade
We have been super busy....just like everyone else....
On December 5th Sage had her debut flute performance when she had the opportunity to to march with the Kuna Middle School Marching band in the Kuna Christmas Parade. It was super cold that day but there were tons of people who braved the weather to watch. It was a great little parade. We all huddled together in our coats and hats and scarves and still froze our tushies off. It was fun though. There were so many people and the band was so huddled together that we couldn't actually see Sage when the band went by. Darn it! Poor Sage was half frozen by the time the parade was over. It was a great experience for her although she swears she will never do it again. Maybe she needs to take her flute and mosey on over the orchestra. Hahaha!

I miss summer!

We had so many places we wanted to go this summer! This was from our first camping trip of the year. We went to Bruneau Sand Dunes with our good friends the Knoxes and The Settles. It was a super short trip but he had so much fun! We climbed up a giant sand dune and this is our family sitting at the top!
